The OZY Youth Choir HDS
Story
Hi there! The OZY Youth Choir Honouring Defence Service is a non-profit organisation and one of the world’s first online choirs. They bring music and history together to inspire and develop young leaders with a focus on commemoration, education and welfare. Bringing civilians, veterans and current serving defence families in mostly regional and rural areas together online through the arts, they are a national (and now international!) choir giving everyone a place to belong (regardless of where they are posted) and a place to shine.
When not in lockdown, they still practice and perform online and travel to perform for local, national and international events. They are a seriously fun choir with a community spirit bringing the spirit of the Aussie bush to the stage.
2021 Registrations are open and we are also looking for expressions of interest to be part of a special SING 4 MENTAL TRAUMA National Online Choir which will result in a choir mashup video for Stand Tall for PTS. You can record your own voice, or get your school, choir or music group together (COVID restrictions permitting)
TOGETHER, LET’S USE MUSIC AND SINGING TO EMPOWER THOSE AFFECTED BY PTS AND MENTAL TRAUMA THROUGH AWARENESS, KNOWLEDGE AND ACTION

Stand Tall 4 PTSD (PTS FOUNDATION LIMITED)
Stand Tall for PTS was founded in 2010 by Tony Dell, a Vietnam Veteran who spent 40 years of his life with PTSD without being diagnosed. This totally volunteer not for profit was originally founded to help the other thousands of Vietnam Veterans who had no idea why their lives had turned sour after they came home.
